TMG observers were deployed across all geo-political zones to monitor polling units,
collation centres and adherence to electoral guidelines. The preliminary findings show
significant improvements in logistics but also highlight areas that require urgent reform
to strengthen transparency and citizens’ confidence in the process.

Strengthening Civic Education Ahead of Local Government Elections

In partnership with local civil society organisations, TMG has launched a series of town
hall meetings, radio programmes and community outreach activities aimed at educating
citizens on their rights and responsibilities during the upcoming local government
elections. The initiative focuses on youth, women and persons with disabilities.
